PlusReed LLC is constantly developing new stuff in the background, but we have rules on how we deploy in order to keep a cadence.
Emergency releases can happen in a few scenarios:
These don’t happen often as our main way of handling these issues is to rollback to the previous version, and refine on the buggy version until we get it to a point where it is stable. However, if we are confident that we can pinpoint the issue in a short amount of time to prevent downtime, we will do an emergency release. This can happen at any time.
Emergency release versions will look like this: vX.X.X_rX
Our regular release schedule is from Monday to Thursday, 8 AM to 6 PM. We typically have these in a few segments:
Regular releases will not happen outside of these blocks of time. We do not do releases on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Regular release versions follow the normal versioning number format: vX.X.X
.
While we aim to do one regular release per week, there is always a chance we will do multiple releases in a day on a single product. We do not strictly enforce the “one regular release per week” rule.
